Leyton Hewitt the road to Wimbledon
16 June 2005World number 2 Lleyton Hewitt was dealt a blow by the All England Tennis & Croquet Club on the eve of this years Wimbledon Championships when it was announced by the committee that American Andy Roddick would be the number 2 seed behind world number 1 Roger Federer.
Hewitt will now be at the mercy of the draw having had his guarantee of avoiding Federer until the final taken away and handed to Andy Roddick who won his third consecutive Queen's Club title last week. Roddick has made his way through to the final and the semi final in the last two years losing to Federer on both occasions while Hewitt won the Wimbledon title in 2002.
